updated .Mac with 1GB space and Backup 3.0 available
Apple updates .Mac service today with 1GB of storage space (10GB transfer per month) for all .Mac members and (2GB for Family Pack member). Additional storage and traffic are available for purchase.
A new service for .Mac is the ability of creating .Mac group. An online group services, in the .Mac way: Ad-free email, elegant web publishing, calendars, file sharing, and more.
Apple also releases Backup 3.0 for Dot Mac users with updated features.
What's new with Backup 3.0:
- Preset backup plans for iLife content and other Mac essentials
- Automatic scheduling to CDs and DVDs
- Incremental backups
- Advanced file restoration
- The ability to back up more than one Mac to your iDisk
Backup 3 requires Mac OS X v10.3.9 or Mac OS X v10.4.2 or later. Non-standard (symlinked) Home folder configurations are not supported. .Mac membership is required to use Backup 3.0.
