With the new Mac OS X 10.4.3 update, iChat has a new feature... encrypted chatting.

.Mac members can enable encrypted chat sessions after installing this update.

To enable encryption, simply go to
iChat > Preferences... > Accounts > (select your .Mac account on the left pane) > Security
And click “Enable” button to enable iChat encryption.

The “Enable” for iChat encryption looks like this:

Once it's changed, it will become:

This service is available for .Mac subscriber to .Mac subscriber.
