Parallels Desktop Release Candidate available

Parallels DesktopParallels released Parallels Desktop Release Candidate (version 2.1.1832.0) bringing the beta application closer to an official release. It seems to us Parallels Desktop for Mac is the new name for Parallels Workstation for Mac, the Mac version at least. Earlier we reported Windows visualisation provided by Parallels the day after Apple released Boot Camp beta.

The major new feature of this release is the new look and feel while improving performance and stability and better USB, networking and shared folder support. Suspend and resume issues are fixed.

Parallels Desktop is priced at US$49.99. Pre-order pricing is US$39.99.
