iChat updates with new certificate

Apple issued an update for iChat user, updates its built-in .Mac certificate for encrypted conversation. This updates iChat AV from version 3.1.5 (v440) to version 3.1.6.
This update renews the .Mac certificate required by iChat for encrypting text, audio and video conferences.

ss_Encrypted_ichat_dietmar.jpgEncrypted iChat conversation was added during Mac OS X 10.4.3 Update (1st Nov 2005), and the .Mac certificate expires on 10th February 2007. To have encrypted iChat conversation (in text, audio or even video), you will need an valid .Mac membership.

.macA PowerPC only and a Universal Binary version are available from Apple Support website.
