Parallels releases Desktop for Mac Released Candidate 2 (build 3150)

ParallelsParallels, Inc. released second Release Candidate (RC2) of Parallels Desktop for Mac (Build 3150) on Friday, 2nd February 2007. (Parallels Desktop for Mac build 3120 (RC 1) was released on 11th January 2007.)

New features are:

  • USB 2.0 support.
  • iSight support.
  • Full-feature virtual CD/DVD drive - Burn CDs and DVDs directly in virtual machines, and play any copy-protected CD or DVD just like you would on a real PC.
  • Better Boot Camp support.
  • Added keyboard remapping configuration
  • True “Drag and Drop” functionality
  • Transporter RC2 bundled

You can use the Windows application as well as Mac applications side by side, as if you have two Mac apps.

Of course, you can also run Windows in OS Window style.

This beta release also includes the Parallels Transporter RC2 software to migrate a Windows PC, VMware, or Virtual PC Virtual Machines to Parallels Virtual Machines.
