Parallels Desktop for Mac 2.5 Release Candidate 3 (Build 3170)

ParallelsParallels, Inc. released second Release Candidate (RC3) of Parallels Desktop for Mac (Build 3170) today with new Windows Vista upgrade support and new OS X 10.5 "Leopard" experimental support. (Parallels Desktop for Mac build 3150 (RC 2) was released on 2nd February 2007.)

New features are:

  • Windows Vista upgrade support (from Windows XP).
  • USB fixes.
  • Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard” experimental support.
  • Transporter RC3 bundled

You can use the Windows application as well as Mac applications side by side, as if you have two Mac apps.

Of course, you can also run Windows in OS Window style.

This beta release also includes the Parallels Transporter RC3 software to migrate a Windows PC, VMware, or Virtual PC Virtual Machines to Parallels Virtual Machines.
