Adobe ships Photoshop Lightroom

Photoshop Lightroom

Adobe Systems ships Photoshop Lightroom, a software for professional photographers, and a direct competition to Apple's Aperture. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is available for both Mac OS X and Windows, and it is Universal Binary in OS X platform. Adobe also releases updated Camera Raw 3.7 software with additional support for digital cameras.

Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 is priced at US$299, and currently there's a special introductory price - US$199, a $100 saving, until 30th April 2007. Current Public Beta version of Lightroom will expire on 28th February. Like Apple's Aperture, Adobe is offering 30-days full feature trial.
