LeopardUNIX 03 certificateApple's upcoming operating system, Mac OS X version 10.5 “Leopard” has qualified UNIX 03 certificate by The Open Group. This means Leopard is conforming to the SUSv3 and POSIX 1003.1 specifications for the C API, Shell Utilities, and Threads. There are UNIX pretenders, and there is the real thing. Apple is to be commended.

Besides Apple, only Sun, IBM and HP are officially certified.
