Fetch 5.3 improves Leopard compatibility, look and new features


Fetch Softworks has released Fetch 5.3 the most well-known FTP client for Mac platform, improves the compatibility with Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard.

Fetch 5.3 is expressly tailored for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, featuring an updated appearance to match the unified Leopard look, improved Leopard compatibility, and support for several key Leopard technologies. Fetch takes advantage of Leopard code signing, making the system keychain and the new Leopard application firewall more convenient to use.


The major updates in Fetch 5.3 include:

  • Improved compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
  • Improved transfer window appearance on Mac OS X 10.5
  • Redesigned toolbar and button icons with updated look for Mac OS X 10.5
  • Added preference to turn off automatic decoding for all file types
  • Digitally signed Fetch application, to reduce unnecessary keychain alerts
  • Added support for Mac OS X 10.5's application-specific firewall
  • Added support for uploading files using Copy and Paste
  • Added support for copying files on servers using Copy and Paste
