Apple has released a (software) update for MacBook Air. Apple says "The MacBook Air Software Update 1.0 addresses issues with video playback and processor core idling." Apple also noted that third-party software that modifies processor operating characteristics such as frequency and voltage is not supported and should be removed before installing this update.

Apple introduced the ultrathin and ultraportable MacBook Air in mid January (during MWSF 2008). MacBook Air has a stunning 13.3-inch LED-backlit widescreen display, a full-size and backlit keyboard, a built-in iSight video camera and a spacious trackpad with multi-touch gesture support. MacBook Air is powered by a 1.6 GHz or 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB L2 cache, and includes as standard features 2GB of memory, an 80GB 1.8-inch hard drive (or an optional 64GB solid state drive contains no moving parts for added durability), and the latest 802.11n Wi-Fi technology and Bluetooth 2.1. It weighs only 1.36 kg (3.0 pounds).
