UniversalBinaryNights has just released an update to its powerful enhancement to the Finder, ForkLift 1.7.4 is now available.

ForkLift 1.7.4 addressed the Snow Leopard compatibility found in version 1.7.3. (There was a 1.7.3sl 'hot fix' version available soon after the release of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard). ForkLift 1.7.4 is a maintenance release with a few other fixes.

  • Snow Leopard Compatibility
  • remote quicklook (Snow Leopard)
  • "Connect as" to AFP (Leopard only)
  • delete from Spotlight search result
  • WebDAV SharePoint server incompatibility
  • random resizing of Sidebar

ForkLift is a powerful replacement for Finder, while maintaining the beautiful OS X feel. ForkLift is also a great FTP client. Looking for a file manager and a FTP/SFTP client? You can have both in one! ForkLift is the best Mac OS X application we know performs batch file renaming smoothly. ForkLift can also connect to any remote server FTP, SFTP, Amazon S3, WebDAV, the SMB, NIS and AFP shares, and it even has an application deleter.
