Apple updates Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor

Apple posted minor updates to Final Cut Pro, Motion and Compressor, the three components of its professional video-editing suite.

Those updates are designed to improve stability and performance, though the Final Cut update does enhance performance of multicam syncing and editing, and adds Simplified Chinese support. Motion gets performance improvements as well, but the update is mostly bug fixes.

Compressor is now at version 4.0.3, and introduces one significant new feature: the ability to run the program as an "encoding node" without a monitor. The update also fixes an issue when exporting if a user is logged in under Open Directory, and improves performance when encoding MP4 and AVI files.

Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion and Compressor are all available through Mac App Store for $299.99, $49.99 and $49.99.
