Playing Poker Online on the iPad, possible? Playing Poker Online on the iPad, possible?
Ipad

Of course it's not impossible and you can never say never, but as we've seen so far with the iPhone there's not much success in the way of online poker apps, and the possibility to play real money poker games anytime soon.
The is a real shame as the iPad not only comes with a great specification but also boosts a 9.7" touch screen display that would be perfect for playing games of texas holdem poker.

Check out these specs.

As the iPad is built on the same OS as the iPhone (only larger, faster, stronger, better) the biggest problems we can foresee is the lack of Flash or Java support.
As anyone who plays poker knows any browser based real money poker game will require Flash to run it.

So what is the future of poker on the iPad?

With no Flash support the only way a real money poker game has any chance of making it onto this platform would be through the App Store. Of course if you still want to try out a poker game app (not for money) for fun, have a look at this post for more information, 'poker apps for the iPhone'.
